About

Inside

Stable Barn at Ampneyfield Farm is one of three elegant barn conversions set within a peaceful working farm. The property combines traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort, offering 1,200 square feet of open-plan living across two floors. Vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and soft pastel tones create a light yet homely atmosphere.

The heart of the home is the spacious ground-floor living area — an inviting open space for cooking, dining and relaxing together. The bespoke Shaker-style kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, wine glasses, pots, pans and cooking essentials such as oil, salt and pepper. The adjoining dining area seats six comfortably, and the adjoining snug serves as a quiet retreat or television room with a sofa bed for two additional guests.

Upstairs, two stylish en-suite bedrooms feature The White Company Egyptian cotton sheets and towels, room-darkening blinds and peaceful countryside views. Each bathroom includes a bath, rainfall shower, heated towel rail and Ampneyfield Barns’ own toiletries. Underfloor heating runs throughout, maintaining comfort year-round.

Guests have access to fast 900 Mbps broadband, Bluetooth speakers, a 54" HDTV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV, and a selection of books and board games. A washer, dryer, iron and ironing board are also available.

Outside

Stable Barn opens onto a private enclosed garden and courtyard bordered by hedging, with outdoor furniture and a dining area perfect for summer evenings. Views stretch across the apple orchard and open farmland — an idyllic backdrop for morning coffee or sunset drinks. Private and safe parking sits directly outside.

Location

Ampneyfield Farm lies in Ampney Crucis, surrounded by walking routes and only a mile from The Pig at Barnsley, three miles from Bibury and Cirencester, and sixteen miles from Stow-on-the-Wold and Daylesford. The Cotswold Water Park is seven miles away, offering lakeside trails and water sports.

Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is one of England’s most picturesque regions, celebrated for its honey-stone villages, rolling hills, and timeless charm. Spanning several counties, it’s an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where winding lanes lead to historic market towns, ancient churches, and cosy country pubs.

From elegant towns like Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford to the peaceful meadows around Chipping Campden and Broadway, the Cotswolds offers a perfect mix of heritage and tranquillity. Days can be spent exploring stately homes, wandering through flower-filled gardens, or walking the scenic Cotswold Way.

Local life moves at a gentler pace here, shaped by centuries of craftsmanship, agriculture, and tradition. Visitors can browse independent boutiques, sample seasonal produce at farm shops, or join local festivals that celebrate everything from food to music and the arts. Whether you’re enjoying a lazy afternoon tea, cycling between hilltop villages, or visiting renowned landmarks like Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds promises an authentic and memorable taste of the English countryside.
