About
Inside
Take in the grandeur of this Georgian country house as you step through its stone-pillared entrance. The hallway, with its stripped wooden floors, high ceilings and sweeping staircase, sets the tone for the house — a seamless blend of classic architecture and modern comfort.
The heart of the home is the kitchen–breakfast room, overlooking the gardens and designed for conversation as much as cooking. Fully equipped with a gas hob, dual electric ovens, microwave, fridge-freezer and two dishwashers, it’s ideal for preparing produce from nearby farm shops. A private chef can be arranged for those who prefer to relax completely.
The adjoining dining room doubles as a library, seating twelve around a grand table surrounded by shelves of books and soft textures. Stone floors, working shutters, and garden views create a space equally suited to long lunches or candlelit dinners.
Two reception rooms flank the entrance hall. The drawing room features triple-aspect sash windows, original shutters, and a classic open fire — a bright, refined space filled with artwork and natural light. Across the hall, the sitting room offers a more intimate atmosphere with an open fire, deep sofas and a TV — a retreat for evenings spent reading, chatting, or watching a film.
Upstairs, six bedrooms are spread across two floors, each individually styled with period features and high-quality finishes. Three rooms have en suite bathrooms, while the rest share a family bathroom and separate shower room. Throughout, the house combines timeless charm with understated luxury.
Outside
To the front and rear, the immaculate walled gardens unfold in lawns, mature trees, and colourful borders. Multiple seating areas provide sun and shade throughout the day, with a gas barbecue and space for alfresco dining. Guests can enjoy croquet or boules on the lawn or simply take in the calm of the countryside.
Pickwick End is set on the edge of Corsham, a short drive from Bath’s historic streets and Wiltshire’s rolling landscape. It’s a place for gathering, celebrating, and unwinding — whatever the season.
