Berry Pen Cottage is a beautifully restored former groom’s cottage that brings together Cotswold charm and modern comfort in equal measure. Renovated in 2016, it offers space and flexibility for families, groups and guests with accessibility needs.

The ground floor is entirely open plan, centred around a large living and dining area with soft sofas, an open fireplace and plenty of natural light. The dining table seats up to sixteen, ideal for big family meals or entertaining visiting friends. The adjoining kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, with a double oven, microwave, dishwasher and an American-style side-by-side fridge-freezer. A separate utility room includes a sink, washer/dryer and ceiling airer for convenience.

The ground-floor bedroom, adaptable as a twin or single, includes a large en-suite wet room with wheelchair access. Additional aids for restricted mobility can be provided on request.

Upstairs are two further en-suite bedrooms: the master, featuring both a bath and walk-in shower, and a second twin (or super-king) room with brass beds and its own en-suite bath and shower. Each is finished with calm tones, crisp linens and soft lighting.

Outside

Double doors lead to a south-facing terrace and enclosed garden with wide countryside views. The garden is wheelchair accessible, furnished for outdoor dining and surrounded by peaceful Cotswold scenery.

Guests also enjoy access to Kingham Cottages’ shared amenities: a heated indoor swimming pool, tennis court, and the Moorish Pavilion with its hammam-style Turkish bath. The landscaped gardens surrounding the cottages are dotted with sculptures, creating an atmosphere of calm and artful beauty.
