About

Inside

Bentleys is a quintessential English cottage reimagined for contemporary living. Dating back to the 17th century, it retains its original beams, flagstone floors and leaded windows, complemented by a striking modern extension that brings light and flow to the living spaces.

At the heart of the home is a large open-plan area combining kitchen, dining and sitting spaces — a warm, sociable environment that opens fully to the gardens beyond. The style is an effortless mix of period charm, modern comfort and vintage detail, with what guests describe as a “touch of ski chalet vibe.”

The kitchen is designed for gathering and entertaining, complete with modern appliances and a dining table that seats up to ten. The sitting room, with its Inglenook fireplace and soft furnishings, offers the perfect spot to unwind by the fire. A curtained study with a wood burner and double sofa bed provides an optional fourth sleeping space or quiet reading nook.

Upstairs, three double bedrooms each reflect the cottage’s understated luxury — combining Cotswold cosiness with crisp, contemporary finishes. Three bathrooms ensure comfort and privacy for all guests.

Outside

The gardens at Bentleys are immaculately maintained and designed for relaxation and play. The rear lawn and terrace are private and enclosed, with a Cotswold stone pizza oven for outdoor cooking. The front courtyard adds charm and character, while croquet, badminton and indoor games make it ideal for both adults and families.

Location

Set in the heart of Kingham, often named one of the most beautiful villages in England, Bentleys enjoys an enviable position between two of the area’s finest pubs — The Wild Rabbit and The Kingham Plough. Daylesford Organic Farm and Soho Farmhouse are nearby, and Kingham Station offers direct trains to London Paddington in around 90 minutes.

Timeless, characterful and beautifully designed, Bentleys is the perfect Cotswold bolthole — balancing 17th-century charm with modern ease in one of the region’s most sought-after villages.
